William Alfred Comstock is asked by Israel Coriell Pierson to write a statement for the Zeta Psi Bulletin. When this went unpublished, Comstock is inspired to visit 19 of the 23 chapters of Zeta Psi. The report he gives to the Grand Chapter following these visits becomes known as the "Vision of Bill Comstock." He proposes lifetime dues, the creation of an endowment fund, and investment in chapter house mortgages, ideas which will guide the future of Zeta Psi.
