Hamilton, Robert A.
Robert A. Hamilton was a member of Mu Chapter at Stanford University, from which he graduated in 1936. Hamilton had a stellar football career as a running back and kick returner for the Stanford Cardinals. His nickname, Bones, came from his blocking ability on the field.

During Hamilton’s time at Stanford from 1933–1935, the team won 25 out of 31 games. The team also earned a spot in the Rose Bowl three years in a row. During his senior year at Stanford, he was named captain of the football team. 

After college, Hamilton became a successful businessman. His Buick dealership in Los Angeles, California, was the third largest Buick dealership in the United States in 1964.

In 1972, Robert A. Hamilton was elected to the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame. He died on April 1, 1996.
