Harold Edward Grange, nicknamed Red, was a member of Alpha Epsilon Chapter at the University of Illinois. 

Grange is regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time. He played on the college level and for the National Football League (NFL) in the first few years of its inception. He is a charter member of both the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His nicknames on the field were the “Galloping Ghost” and the “Wheaton Iceman.” 

In 1924, Grange was the first player to receive the Chicago Tribune Silver Football from the Big Ten Conference. ESPN recognised him as the best college football player of all time in 2008. The Big Ten Network named him the Greatest Big Ten Icon in 2011. Zeta Psi created the Red Grange Athlete of the Year in his honor.
